Pink (coral) tactile indicators suit places where the environment should feel friendly rather than alarming. In a nursery, a primary classroom or a children's hospital a yellow-and-black warning strip looks like industrial signage; pink does the same job without making the setting feel anxious. This is not a cosmetic choice: when a child is not frightened, they approach the marking and use it.

The indicator comes in two forms. The bar continuously shows the way from a playroom to the washroom or from a classroom to the stairs, while the stud marks the stopping zone at the head of a staircase and in front of a door.
